Since the beginning of age the earth remained
its ears were inclined to only the voice of wisdom
earth did not seek for gold attained
Nor craved for a mere presumed system
The earth is older than any powerful Pharaoh ordained
Yet you tell me it withers away
Men looked for knowledge from creation
The earth opened its magnificence and wonder
Earth embraced every child under the sun without any obligation
we were safe, we were comfortable, even on the sea with a rudder
The earth was and always will be the mother of a vast nation
Yet you tell me it withers away
We dug up wells to find the purest water
We planted seeds and trusted earth to give us good produce
The land didn't cry when an animal fell on the soil for slaughter
the reasons for doing things in order was a recommendation and no excuse
and in those days of long ago the sun became hotter and hotter
Yet you tell me that it withers away
Our ancestors dug up wealth from the ground under
they found out that the earth was rich
Their respect for mother nature did not put its foundations asunder
every single one of them who worked to get silver for his own niche
like animals some of them wanted to plunder
Yet you tell me that it withers away
The age of accountability and dignity expired
the earth wept bitterly because of the greed and bloody
The animals went back to their hiding place in holes and retired
from the third to the fourth generation mankind noticed their ability to rule
their spirits were like those of the possessed they were cruel
Yet you tell me that the earth withers away
You have exaggerated, telling us that the ice melts
You have made forecasts that weather patterns have changed dramatically
You gained riches for you and your kind and no one else
with rumors of the ozone layer subdued by the harsh rays
preaching that earth is overpopulated but we know you want the resources
And you still tell me that it withers away
Nature has its own time
A time for change at its own will
you have never understood its language because you never taught yourself
You have made nations to fear and act with no discernment
In the end earth will plead with wisdom to restore it to its glory
So that you do not tell its true children that it withers away
